The latest edition of the Startup Apéro was once again a memorable success. More than 150 members of Luxembourg’s startup and tech ecosystem — including startup founders, tech enthusiasts, corporate partners and ecosystem enablers gathered to celebrate 12 years of Silicon Luxembourg.
This special edition paid tribute to the journey of the media platform that has become a cornerstone of Luxembourg’s innovation landscape since its launch in 2013.
For this occasion we invited Charles-Louis Machuron, founder of Silicon Luxembourg and initiator of the Startup Apéro series for a fireside chat to reflect on the early days of building the country’s leading digital media platform. Looking back at the 12 years of Silicon Luxembourgs existence, he spoke about the vision behind launching Silicon Luxembourg and milestones that shaped Silicon Luxembourgs position in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. By further sharing his lessons learned from over a decade of story telling and personal advice to aspiring founders, his story offered a behind the scene look at how a single idea grew into a trusted media brand and a community hub for innovation.
True to the spirit of the Startup Apéro, the evening closed with an engaging networking session. Guests exchanged ideas, forged new connections and shared their own stories, showcasing once again, the role community gatherings like the Startup Apéro play in bringing the entrepreneurial ecosystem to life.
As Silicon Luxembourg enters its next chapter together with the team Pierre-Yves Lanneau Saint Léger as CEO, Jessica Bauldry as Editor-in-Chief, Stephanie Jabardo as Head of Community Management & Digital Content and Judith Schleder as Head of Branding and Events, the event marked a celebration of the past 12 years but also a moment to look forward to what’s next for the platform and for Luxembourg’s dynamic startup scene.
