If you’re curious about tracking your household’s energy, you could help support research in Luxembourg and earn rewards along the way.
From 20 October, an innovative research project by the SnT at the University of Luxembourg and the Fondation Enovos under the aegis of Fondation de Luxembourg, will study household energy consumption.
Over eight weeks, households which download the LetzPower app will learn how to optimise their energy use, save money and contribute to building smarter, greener grids. The study will examine if user behaviour changes as a result of the app’s insights, helping decision-makers develop flexibility into systems and the environment.
According to the team, the research is part of parent project, FlexBeAn, exploring how “flexible energy use can help power the smart grids of the future – a vital step as Luxembourg moves towards cleaner electricity, more renewable energy integration, and the rise of electric vehicles, solar panels, and heat pumps.”

Participation is open to:
- Luxembourg residents aged 18 and over
- Households with an activated Smarty+ smart meter
- One LetzPower! account per household (as reimbursements are based on household energy behaviour)
