A layered architecture built on trust
The EUDI Wallet runs on a sophisticated, multi-layered ecosystem governed by the Architecture Reference Framework (ARF). While the wallet unit acts as the user’s secure vault, the true corporate value lies in its decentralized pillars:
- Person Identification Data (PID) providers: Government entities issuing core personal identity attributes with High level of assurance (LoA High).
- Attestation providers: Qualified Electronic Attestation of Attributes (QEAA) and Electronic Attestation of Attributes (EAA) bodies issuing verifiable credentials, from university diplomas to official bank statements.
- Relying parties (RP): Businesses and organizations that request and verify this data to digitize their processes.
