The Luxembourg Event Association (LEA) launches a national campaign to put the events industry on the strategic map for businesses and government alike.
The Luxembourg Event Association (LEA) held a high-level round table on 13 May 2026 with Minister of Economy Lex Delles to launch a national campaign positioning the events sector as a strategic business tool — and to push for regulatory reform.
The numbers make a strong case. In 2024, Luxembourg hosted around 9,150 professional events — up 10% year-on-year — drawing 935,000 participants and generating roughly 650,000 overnight stays. International visitors spent an average of €780 per stay, underlining the sector’s direct economic weight.
“Promoting this sector also means promoting Luxembourg’s skills, services and expertise.”

“Events are not just an opportunity to meet. They are a powerful communication tool, capable of building connections, conveying messages and strengthening a brand,” said Charles Schroeder, LEA President.
Minister Delles echoed the point: “Promoting this sector also means promoting Luxembourg’s skills, services and expertise.”
Beyond the campaign, the round table surfaced pressing operational concerns — flexible working hours, administrative simplification, and short-term staffing frameworks — reflecting the sector’s seasonal, weekend-heavy reality. The LEA is calling for a pragmatic dialogue with authorities to address these constraints while maintaining worker protections.
The campaign will roll out across video, digital and print, giving a platform to local providers across the full events value chain.
