Luxembourg’s House of Startups (HoST) has been ranked 26th out of 150 European startup hubs by UK Financial Times, Statista and Sifted.
The pivotal institution within the country’s startup ecosystem was assessed based on feedback from alumni, investors, entrepreneurs and other experts.
HoST said in a statement: “The House of Startups’ inclusion in this ranking highlights its essential role in fostering the startup ecosystem in Luxembourg, connecting startups with investors and corporate partners, and supporting Luxembourg’s economic diversification strategy.”
Launched in 2018, HoST is located in a modern, 6,000 square metre building in the Gare district known as the Dôme. With capacity for some 200 startups, it aims to drive innovation by connecting, promoting and supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

HoST brings together various incubators and accelerators under one roof, including fintech specialists the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT), the Luxembourg-City Incubator (LCI), Le Village by CA, an accelerator of business and innovation for highly innovative startups with a potential for international growth and the International Climate Finance Accelerator (ICFA), focused on climate funding initiatives.
Under the leadership of CEO Philippe Linster, HoST has solidified its role as a cornerstone of Luxembourg’s dynamic and growing startup landscape. Meanwhile, its ‘Startup Corner’ podcast, promoting the startup and innovation ecosystem, won “Best Corporate Podcast” at the RTL Podcast Awards.

Published by the Financial Times in March, the 2025 ranking placed Germany’s UnternehmerTUM, a non-profit organisation, at the top for the second year, with Paris-based Station F close behind. Of all the European countries cited, the UK featured most prominently with 29 hubs, the majority London-based. Germany has 19 while Spain had 17.
