The Automobility Incubator at the 14-hectare Automobility Campus in Bissen was officially inaugurated, signaling Luxembourg’s ambition to become a leader in automotive and smart mobility innovation.
The €40 million government-backed project, managed by Technoport, features state-of-the-art office spaces, laboratories, and facilities to support startups, scale-ups, and global companies.
Minister of Economy Lex Delles described the incubator as a cornerstone of Luxembourg’s innovation strategy: “This space reflects our commitment to fostering sustainable mobility solutions. Luxembourg has a card to play with autonomous driving, and this hub will help us stay ahead in this transformative field.”
“The launch of the incubator within the Automobility Campus is a crucial step in attracting innovative companies and concepts to Luxembourg,” said Lex Delles. “By providing dedicated resources and fostering strategic partnerships, this project accelerates the development of sustainable mobility solutions in a competitive and dynamic environment.”
From early 2025, the incubator will welcome its first tenants: Pony.ai, a pioneer in autonomous driving technology and the first Chinese firm on campus ; Right Energy, focusing on sustainable energy solutions, and Voltcore, known for its expertise in electric vehicle infrastructure.

Diego De Biasio, CEO of Technoport, and Bissen’s Technoport director Erez Arye have been actively scouting companies since spring, meeting with 70 businesses to align strategies with the incubator’s mission. Six firms from Technoport’s other branches may also join the Bissen site, bolstering its capabilities.
The campus already hosts firms such as IEE and Solarcleano, with global tire giant Goodyear consolidating 350 employees at the site by 2026. Xavier Fraipont, Goodyear’s EMEA VP, emphasized the importance of collaboration: “This incubator provides an opportunity to collaborate with startups and scale-ups, driving progress through dynamic interactions. Innovation remains at the heart of our strategy.”
The incubator boasts circular construction principles and a dynamic ecosystem, offering 2,100 m² of office space and 400 m² of R&D workshops. Its design supports cutting-edge research in areas such as autonomous vehicles, smart infrastructure, and materials science. “This inauguration strengthens our role in building an integrated, effective, and internationally attractive innovation ecosystem. We’re confident this site will evolve into a vibrant hub for mobility innovation,” said Technoport CEO Diego De Biasio.

During the inauguration, 24 companies showcased advancements in mobility. Mayor of Bissen David Viaggi remarked, “with this space, we are creating a community where ideas come to life and projects grow. Bissen is poised to become a launchpad for tomorrow’s successes.”
With plans to attract more firms and a strong foundation in autonomous and sustainable mobility, the Automobility Incubator is poised to solidify Luxembourg’s role as a global innovation hub.
