Luxinnovation published the full offer of the Luxembourg AI Factory on Tuesday. Here’s how businesses and startups can benefit.
Luxembourg published the full service catalogue of the eagerly anticipated AI Factory on Tuesday. The initiative aims to embed secure and responsible artificial intelligence into businesses and startups by offering a one-stop shop solution.
The tools were designed to support business from idea generation to large-scale production, through six categories:
Evaluation & Acceleration: The Luxembourg AI Factory can help assess AI maturity, clarify objectives, and define a realistic action plan for companies to adopt AI.
Training: Businesses can take advantage of 140-200 training sessions per year to help build the country’s next generation of AI talent. Courses cover everything from awareness and operational proficiency to specialised courses.
Fostering Connections: The AI Factory wants to connect businesses with technical experts, specialists, academics and European initiatives. It can also help companies access data for training AI models.
Finance: Businesses and particularly startups can accelerate projects through national research, development and innovation aid, as well as European programmes such as Horizon Europe or Digital Europe.
Building & Testing: Organisations can test and get their solutions validated through the use of regulatory environments (sandboxes), as well as receive support in data management, and on regulation such as GDPR and the EU AI Act.
Scaling & Execution: The AI Factory helps with production steps including data management, operational deployment, model monitoring, lifecycle governance, and integration into existing systems.
The Luxembourg AI Factory is built through a partnership between LuxProvide, Luxinnovation, the Luxembourg National Data Service (LNDS), the University of Luxembourg, and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), as well as a network of public and private actors. The platform is also part of the network of 13 AI Factories established within the European Union.
“Thanks to the integrated approach of the Luxembourg AI Factory, Luxembourg is becoming a key player in building a robust, ethical, and sovereign European AI ecosystem,” said Minister for Digitalisation and Minister for Higher Education and Research Stéphanie Obertin at the Data Summit on Tuesday, adding: “As an active member of the EuroHPC programme and closely connected to other AI Factories, the Luxembourg AI Factory helps to disseminate best practices and create cross-border synergies.”
