Microlux celebrates a record year in 2024, empowering 280 entrepreneurs and creating 450 jobs, while securing its SIS accreditation to amplify its social impact mission.
After eight years of impactful operations, microlux’s 2024 activity report highlights major achievements: 280 entrepreneurs supported, over 450 jobs created, and a growing community of microentrepreneurs across Luxembourg. Demand for microlux’s services soared, with 304 people reaching out to realize their entrepreneurial ambitions—an increase of 17% from 2023.
“In 2024, microlux saw a 17% rise in financing and support requests, with 304 people reaching out and 176 receiving tailored guidance,” explained Quyen Ngo-Li, Communication Manager at microlux. “To meet this growing demand, microlux is working to further strengthen its coaching services for microentrepreneurs.”

Beyond the numbers, microlux achieved a key strategic milestone by securing the Société à Impact Sociétal (SIS) accreditation. “Obtaining SIS status means microlux now reinvests 100% of its profits into its mission and opens new partnership opportunities,” said Ngo-Li. “It reinforces transparency, secures long-term social impact, and boosts potential collaboration with public and private stakeholders.”
Since its creation in 2016, microlux has granted 321 microcredits and supported more than 1028 aspiring entrepreneurs, offering vital financial support to those without traditional banking access. “Concrete proof of our positive social and economic impact across Luxembourg,” added NGO-LI.
To further support its expanding activities, microlux plans to strengthen its team in 2025, thanks to the backing of partners such as the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte and The Human Safety Net.
