French AI innovator Mistral AI and NTT DATA Luxembourg have announced a strategic partnership to develop a sovereign AI platform tailored for regulated financial and insurance sectors in Luxembourg.
This alliance marks a significant step towards accelerating AI adoption while ensuring data privacy, security, and compliance with Luxembourg’s stringent regulations.
As part of the collaboration, NTT DATA will establish a Mistral AI Center of Excellence in Luxembourg, dedicated to technical training and certification, building local AI expertise. Meanwhile, Mistral AI will provide cutting-edge AI models, powering secure and scalable solutions.

First Projects Revealed
The partnership is already delivering tangible results. The first project will co-develop a sovereign AI platform designed specifically to meet the rigorous needs of Luxembourg’s financial and insurance sectors — reinforcing the country’s commitment to digital sovereignty.
