From 1st to 12th March 2017, Luxembourg City Film Festival will take the next step in its embrace of virtual reality, building on last year’s “Full Virtual Reality Corner”, to curate Luxembourg’s first “VIRTUAL REALITY PAVILION” at Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain.
Conceived by the founders of the audio-visual production company a_BAHN and the festival, in partnership with Digital Luxembourg and Film Fund Luxembourg, the Pavilion will celebrate the creativity and audacity of a burgeoning industry that is going to revolutionize our relationship with the moving image. Over the course of the festival, the Pavilion will welcome several guests and VR industry professionals of international renown. The Virtual Reality Pavilion will feature an audacious programme consisting of around a dozen VR films and experiences, all of which experiment with innovative storytelling and a bold aesthetic to explore how immersive filmmaking can be harnessed for social impact and contribute to a better understanding of the complex world we live in.
