Born from the uncertainty every student faces, I Don’t Know Yet (IDK-Yet) helps young people turn confusion into clarity, using smart tech to match them with the right universities and programs worldwide.
Why did you decide to create this company?
Most of us, at some point during our high school or even early university years, were not quite sure what we wanted to do with our futures. When asked about our plans, many of us answered with an honest “I don’t know yet.” That is exactly where the name and mission of I Don’t Know Yet came from. We are here to help students move from “I Don’t Know Yet” to “Now I know.”
We do this by centralising and streamlining access to information about universities and programs worldwide. Our App aggregates comprehensive data, then uses smart matching technology to connect students with opportunities that align with their interests, academic profiles, and practical needs. With the technology available to us today, tools we’ve never had access to before, our goal is to leverage it fully and make it easily accessible to students who are still figuring things out. Think of it as going from information overload to personalised clarity.
How is your offering different from your competitors and other market players?
I think our biggest differentiator, and admittedly, our biggest risk, is that we are building for students first, not institutions. While we inevitably will want to work and partner with educational institutions and businesses, our primary focus is creating a robust platform designed around students and accessible to them directly. Many of our competitors focus on institutional relationships, which can certainly be more efficient from a pure business standpoint, but we want to play a different game.
That said,we believe that being prudent doesn’t mean avoiding risk, it simply means calculating it. While we are not a Non-Profit, we are committed to keeping our core service free for students, hence we are structuring the business to work with organisations and institutions on the B2B side, allowing us to be one of the few players in this space operating with both a B2C and B2B model.
In what way does the Luxembourg ecosystem support your development?
Luxembourg isn’t just where I was born and raised; it is a country that values education deeply, looks toward the future, and actively promotes innovation across all sectors. It has one of the highest rates of students pursuing tertiary education globally and one of the highest rates of international student mobility. The population here is exceptionally internationally-minded. Given that IDK-Yet is designed to guide students through their choices and support them through relocation, Luxembourg represents an ideal audience within an ecosystem that welcomes ambitious, new projects. I have said this but I will say it again: we are fully committed to making IDK-Yet a success story that Luxembourg can be proud of.
Are you currently raising funds or planning to? What will it help you achieve?
Not yet, but we are close. As I mentioned, we want to offer our core service free to students, but we need to be viable and attractive to potential investors and partners. After months of strategic work, we have restructured our approach to make that happen. The strategy is refined. Now we are focused on execution, building traction, and then we will be ready to raise.
