The future of entrepreneurship in Luxembourg is in good hands, as demonstrated by the energy and innovation displayed at the 2025 Mini-Enterprises National Final.
Organised by Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg, the event brought together 16 of the most promising student-led mini-companies from across the country. They competed for top honours and a chance to represent Luxembourg at the European Gen-E competition in Athens in July.
Held on May 22, the final started with a dynamic day of public sales at the Kirchberg Shopping Center. There the student entrepreneurs engaged with real customers, pitching their products and showcasing their business sense. The jury, which included business leaders and educators, evaluated each team based on their innovation, its marketability, communication, and overall entrepreneurial spirit.
The closing of the event took place at the Kinepolis Kirchberg, where 200 people discovered the student-led-mini-companies’ innovative projects and their journey.
And the winner is…
Taking home the coveted title of Best Mini-Company 2025 was Feel It, a team of three students from Lycée Classique de Diekirch. Their inclusive board game – designed for both sighted and visually-impaired players – impressed the jury with its thoughtful design, social impact, and eco-conscious production. Presenting tactile wooden letters, embossed cards, a digital timer, and upcycled denim packaging, Feel It becomes a genuine sensory and social experience.
Second place was awarded to Elegantly Safe, a mini-company from the École de Commerce et de Gestion, which created a stylish bracelet that discreetly includes drug detection strips for drinks – a timely and practical solution for nightlife safety.
Third prize went to LeftLovers, from Lycée Aline Mayrisch, whose digital platform connects local food retailers with customers to reduce food waste via discounted surprise bags.
In addition to the main awards, several teams received Signature Awards recognising excellence in categories such as social entrepreneurship, consumer protection, financial management, and responsible consumption.
The event was supported by public officials, including Economy Minister Lex Delles and Ministers Georges Mischo and Martine Hansen, who praised the students’ energy and vision.
“A programme like Mini-Enterprises raises young people’s awareness of entrepreneurship and encourages them to seek out new and innovative ideas.”
Lex Delles, Minister of Economy, of SME, of Energy and Tourism.
With over 117 teams from 29 schools enrolled in the programme, the finalists represent the bright potential of Luxembourg’s youth of future entrepreneurship.
As Feel It prepares to take the European competition in Athens this summer, their success stands as a powerful reminder: when young people are given the opportunity to create, they can transform challenges into meaningful innovation, boosting the startup ecosystem.
