2023: Tech Fairs Not To Miss

On your marks, get set, and start 2023 with some key dates in your diaries.

Silicon Luxembourg shares a selection of some of the key events for European and global startup ecosystems in 2023.

January

CES Las Vegas: 4-8 January 

Luxembourg Trade and Invest will have a stand at CES in Las Vegas, the world’s most influential tech event. They will be among 2,800 exhibitions from 173 countries gathering in Vegas.

Arab Health 2023: 30 January – 2 February

Dubai provides a meeting place for the world of healthcare when it plays host to Arab Health 2023. Since it is part of the national strategy to expand into health tech, Luxembourg Trade and Invest will attend this health conference.

Mobile World Congress: 27 February – 2 March

Luxembourg will be present at the world’s most influential exhibition for the connectivity industry, the Mobile World Congress, hosted in Barcelona, Spain. Themes covered include 5G, 6G, immersive technology and fintech, and how they’re shaping our industry and creating a brighter future.

Aerospace Tech Week Europe: 29-30 March

From starting out as an avionics fair in 2001, today Aerospace Tech Week Europe also covers connectivity, MRO IT, flight ops IT, testing, Space and sustainability. The convention is hosted in Munich, Germany. 

April

International Cybersecurity Forum: 5-7 April

Hosted in Lille, France, the International Cybersecurity Forum is the reference for cybersecurity in Europe. The conference spans three days and will feature a Luxembourg stand.

Space Resources Week: 19-21 April 

Space Resources Week is a three-day hybrid conference in Luxembourg connecting thought leaders from space agencies, research institutes, start-ups, and industry (both terrestrial and space). On the agenda will be captivating speeches and interactive sessions on new technologies, business models and concrete next steps, from inspiring scientists, economists, lawyers, and business professionals. 

E-Tech Europe: 19-20 April

Bologna, Italy, plays host to E-Tech Europe, an international trade show for advanced batteries and electrification of the automotive industry – bringing together key industry players of the entire electromechanical, electronics and zero-emission e-mobility supply chain.

EU Startups Summit: 20-21 April 

The EU Startups Summit in Barcelona, Spain, ​​gathers over 2,000 founders, startup enthusiasts, corporates, angel investors, VCs, and media from across Europe

Transport Logistic 2023, Munich: 9-12 May

Munich, Germany, will be the backdrop for Transport Logistic 2023, the world’s leading trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management. Luxembourg, with its logistics cluster, will be present. 

Tech.eu Summit: 24 May

Tech.eu Summit brings together 1,800 thinkers and doers in Brussels, Belgium. In 2023, it expects to welcome hundreds of entrepreneurs, investors, corporate leaders, policymakers, academics and journalists from the European tech scene,

June

London Tech Week: 12-16 June

London Tech Week is a one-week festival, celebrating technology and uniting innovative thinkers and talent on a single site in London, UK. 

Vivatech, Paris: 14-17 June

After a successful stand at the 2022 edition, Luxembourg will again be taking selected startups to Vivatech, Europe’s biggest startup and tech event hosted in Paris, France. 

Bits & Pretzels Healthtech: 20-21 June

Munich, Germany, will play host to the second edition of Bits & Pretzels Healthtech, a fair at which over 2,500 healthtech founders and ecosystem players are expected.

International Paris Air Show: 19-25 June

The International Paris Air Show, hosted at Le Bourget, Paris (France) is the largest Aeronautic & Space event in the world with more than 2,450 exhibitors from 49 countries and 140,000 visitors from 185 countries in the last edition (2019). 

Collision: 26-29 June

Described as the Tech Olympics, Collision brings together the people and companies redefining the global tech industry. Among the thousands of industry players gathering in Toronto, Canada, will be a Luxembourg trade delegation.

ICT Spring: 29-30 June

Luxembourg trade fair ICT Spring will return to Luxexpo The Box for two days of talks, stands, and networking opportunities. 

September

Bits & Pretzels 2023: 24–26 September

Bits & Pretzels 2023 hosts this gathering in Munich, Germany, attracting 5,000 founders, investors, and startup enthusiasts for three days of learning, networking and inspiration. Luxembourg will also be present with a trade stand.

October

International Astronautical Congress: 2-6 October

A Luxembourg trade delegation will head to Baku, Azerbaijan, for the 74th International Astronautical Congress, examining the global challenges and opportunities in space. 

Pollutec: 10-13 October

Lyon, France, will be the backdrop for Pollutec, a showcase for environmental solutions for industry, cities and regions, and a springboard for market innovations and international development. Luxembourg will be present with a stand.

IT-SA 365: 10-12 October

IT-SA is a digital dialogue platform bringing together IT security providers and experts to showcase hardware, solutions and services, share new innovations and trends and network. Hosted in Nuremberg, Germany, Luxembourg will have a stand.

November

Smart City World Expo Congress 2023: 7-9 November

Luxembourg will have a stand at Smart City World Expo Congress 2023, a three-day congress in Barcelona, Spain, designed to share innovations and discussions around solutions for housing the planet’s growing population. Luxembourg will make a trade fair visit.

Web Summit: 13-16 November

Hosted in Lisbon, Portugal, the Web Summit gathers policymakers, heads of state, and the founders and CEOs of technology companies and fast-growing startups, to take the pulse of tech innovation.

Medica: 13-16 November

Luxembourg will have a stand at Medica, a global trade fair showcasing the latest innovations and trends in healthtech. The fair is hosted in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Spacetech Europe: 14-16 November

Luxembourg will have a trade stand at Spacetech Europe, Europe’s biggest B2B event for the space sector. 

Slush: 30 November-1 December 

Pitched as “the most founder-focused event on Earth”, Slush takes place in Helsinki, Finland. Its 2022 edition featured over 4,600 founders and startup founders, and 2,600 investors, representing $1 trillion in assets under management.
