3rd Infrachain Challenge – Registration Is Open

The Luxembourg blockchain community hackathon, which will be held at the end of November at GovTech Lab Luxembourg, is this year dedicated to accelerating public energy efficiency. Candidate teams have until November 13 to register.

The Infrachain Challenge, the hackathon of the Luxembourg blockchain community, will be held on November 29 and 30.

This third edition, which will take place at GovTech Lab Luxembourg, will be dedicated to accelerating public energy efficiency.

Registration is open until November 13, 2022 for teams of up to six members.

Participants in the running will have to develop tools based on the public sector blockchain developed by the Ministry of Digitization, which is sponsoring the hackathon.

Looking for green solutions

“Ensuring a clean energy future is a top priority across all industries, not only to drive future economic growth but also to ensure a more sustainable world,” says Fabrice Croiseaux, president of Infrachain a.s.b.l. “Also, we expect the teams to imagine tomorrow’s innovative green solutions using blockchain.”

The winning teams will receive cash prizes totaling 10,500 euros. In addition, the developed concepts may eventually be turned into functional applications.

In 2021, Let’sFixID had won the Infrachain Challenge with its MEETS ID project, a decentralized electronic prescription management system.

The application aims to digitize, transform and simplify current prescription processes, speed up transactions, reduce costs and increase transparency and trust.

Infrachain, a Luxembourg-based non-profit organization, was launched in May 2017 by several industry players, driven and supported by Digital Luxembourg.

The cross-industry initiative aims to push the blockchain adoption curve by sharing expertise, participating in blockchain projects, disseminating information on operational use cases of blockchain and creating an international ecosystem.
