The Infrachain Challenge is set to take place on June 15th and 16th, 2023, and it will be the fourth edition of the leading blockchain hackathon in Luxembourg.
The event will be hosted at the GovTech Lab Luxembourg, and team registrations are now open. At the heart of the 2023 Infrachain Challenge is the future national registry of buildings and housing, and participants will be tasked with developing decentralized tools and applications leveraging the information from the registry.
The Infrachain Challenge is organized by Infrachain, the Luxembourg-based corporate blockchain community, with the support of the Ministry of Digitalization. The hackathon is open to teams of between three and six members, and the top three teams stand to win cash prizes totalling €10,500. You can now register for the Infrachain Challenge.
In 2022, the ZeroKnowledge team, comprising experts from the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust – SnT (University of Luxembourg), the University of Bayreuth, as well as the Project Group Business and Information Systems Engineering of the Fraunhofer FIT, won the competition with their project “Gamification for Reduced Energy Consumption”.
Infrachain is a non-profit organization with a European scope, established in May 2017 with the support of Digital Luxembourg, the Luxembourg government’s collaborative initiative that strengthens and guides the country’s digital efforts. Infrachain aims to push the adoption curve of blockchain by sharing expertise, participating in blockchain projects, disseminating information on operational blockchain use cases, and creating an international ecosystem. The Infrachain Challenge is an excellent opportunity for blockchain enthusiasts to showcase their skills, and the event is expected to attract participants from across Europe.
