A Luxembourg Healthcare Delegation Visits SantExpo In Paris

The group included representatives of the Federation of Luxembourg Hospitals, Health Minister Paulette Lenert, Social Security Minister Claude Haagen and Marc Ungeheuer, Ambassador of Luxembourg to France. The visit to the French healthcare fair SantExpo is part of the preparation of the Healthcare Week Luxembourg, a similar event to be held by the FHL in September 2023.

On 23 May, a Luxembourg delegation visited the 57th edition of SantExpo in Paris, a healthcare fair organized by the French Hospital Federation.

The fair brings together decision-makers and healthcare professionals involved in the management, digital, care pathway, patient experience, equipment, materials, construction and transformation of healthcare institutions.

The three-day program held from 23 to 25 May 2023 offers a global, diversified and complete vision of technologies, services and innovative solutions for the healthcare system.

Circa 30,000 visitors, 600 exhibitors, 300 conferences are expected around the theme “Health at the heart of democracy”.

The Luxembourg delegation included representatives of the Federation of Luxembourg Hospitals (FHL), joined by Paulette Lenert, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health, Claude Haagen, Minister of Social Security and Marc Ungeheuer, Ambassador of Luxembourg to France.

The visit was organized as part of the preparation of the first edition of Healthcare Week Luxembourg (HWL), a similar event initiated by the FHL to take place next September.

The delegation exchanged with professionals from the Agence du numérique en santé, the Fédération nationale des établissements d’hospitalisation à domicile, the mutuelle nationale des hospitaliers, the Association Nationale française de l’infirmier.e en pratique avancée, as well as with representatives of the Haute Autorité de Santé and the Ministry of Health and Prevention.

The Luxembourg group met exhibitors who will also be present at the HWL, including Dedalus, a German-based publisher of software solutions for health and diagnostics in Luxembourg and worldwide, and Softway Medical, a French cloud-based software and service provider for health institutions.

Among other companies on the road map: Meetrucks the French service company for health mobility management resources, which has developed a mobile hospital truck specially adapted for emergency situations. Koki Software, is a French IT development company specialising in management, monitoring and traceability solutions dedicated to the cleaning and bio cleaning professions. Baxter International, a company active in IT medical devices, medical and healthcare equipment and operating rooms, presented its Hill Rom solution, a fully connected care pathway, on a dedicated space of 160m².

The Luxembourg delegation further walked through the E-Health CATEL Village (20 participating companies), an incubator and network of professionals in telehealth, telemedicine, applications, web platforms, connected objects, e-health, etc.

The group visited among other exhibitors Enovacom, a French company specialising in medical interoperability, InterSystems, a leader in databases and integration technologies in the field of health, and Computacenter an independent service provider that supports healthcare institutions in the acquisition, transformation and management of their IT infrastructures.

Preparing the Healthcare Week Luxembourg

The Healthcare Week Luxembourg will be held from 20 to 22 September 2023 at Luxexpo The Box. “The cross-border event will be dedicated to exchanges with other economic sectors, research, the world of innovation and startups as well as to actions aiming to strengthen our health system,” Turk added. “It promises.

WHL is organized by the Luxembourg Hospital Federation (FHL) in partnership with Quinze Mai, the event agency also in charge of the SantExpo exhibition.

Established in 1948, , the Fédération des Hôpitaux luxembourgeois (FHL), which became an association in 1965, brings together all hospitals in Luxembourg (9,000 employees and more than 1,000 medical specialists). The asbl defends the interests of its members (and health professionals in general), promotes innovations and hospital progress in all their forms. It also aims to inform and guide policymakers on the vision and strategic developments of the Luxembourg hospital sector and the health sector as a whole. FHL employs around 30 people.
