ANote Music Makes Startup World Cup Final In The Valley

Beating nine finalists in a pitching contest, ANote Music was selected as the most promising startup to represent Luxembourg in the Startup World Cup in Silicon Valley. The startup will face more than 70 competitors in the final on 30 September.

Organised by Pegasus Tech Ventures and hosted locally by EY, the Luxembourg final of the Startup World Cup toom place on 9 June. The 10 preselected finalists battled it out at EY’s offices in Kirchberg in front of a stacked jury.

Their evaluation was based on the following criteria: the solution itself, problem-solving ability, market and traction, competitive advantage, profitability, sustainability, team strength, overall pitch and presentation.

While the first place went to ANote Music, the two remaining podium spots went to Food4All (2nd) and WEO (3rd). The House of Startups had prepared all contestants equally well with their coaching sessions.

Founded in 2018, ANote Music has been working on bridging the gap between the music industry and the financial markets by creating “the first real marketplace for investing in music royalties”. Having already raised over €1.5 million, the startup is well-positioned to continue its impressive growth rates.

In the Startup World Cup final in the Valley, ANote Music will battle it out with over 70 other finalists. The winner will receive US$1 million in investment and get to call themselves world cup winners. Participants will also get the opportunity to meet other candidates, potential investors and interact with the local ecosystem.
