Call For Innovative Rural & Touristic Ideas: “IddienSchmëtt Landtourismus”

The call for projects is aimed at startups and companies with an innovative rural tourism project that enhances the potential of the Luxembourg countryside. Applications can be submitted from 4 October to 30 November, 2022. 

The Luxembourg government recently unveiled the “IddienSchmëtt Landtourismus” initiative, a call for unusual rural ideas.

The initiative aims to support start-ups, companies and organisations active in tourism, and who wish to develop unusual experience offers in rural areas in Luxembourg.

Developed by partners of the Luxembourgish tourism sector, coordinated by the Office Régional du Tourisme Région Moselle Luxembourgeoise, it is part of the inter-regional LEADER program “Landtourismus”.

Innovative, creative, rural tourism project

The candidates will have to present an innovative, creative and rural tourism project, which enhances the potential of the country’s countryside. They can submit their application from 4 October to 30 November. They will receive an answer by mid-December.

The selected applications will benefit from free professional coaching and support in terms of ideation, product development, marketing and financing. This coaching will take place from January to March 2023.

The project partners are the Ministry of Agriculture, Viticulture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Regional Tourist Boards (Eislek, Guttland, Mosel, Mullerthal), the five LEADER regions (Atert-Wark, Regioun Mëllerdall, Lëtzebuerg-West, Miselerland, Eislek), Luxembourg for Tourism and three national organizations (Association for the promotion of rural tourism in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Camprilux and Luxembourg Youth Hostels).
