Since 2019, ChefPassport provides online cooking experiences with virtual classes, parties, and events for private clients and businesses. Now they announce a partnership with the Meetic Group, and singles from five different countries will have the opportunity to find love through their passion for food.

Cooking is an act of love. That´s what ChefPassport´s Founder, Matteo Ressa, believes. Everything started with an intense and passionate experience at Jai Fai – a street-food and Michelin Star awarded restaurant in Bangkok. After meeting Chef Supinya Junsuta, a woman in her seventies who cooks since she was a child, an idea came up: what if anyone in the world could connect with a chef and learn from their culture, their stories and, of course, how to cook and enjoy a delicious meal at the end? Matteo told us everything about ChefPassport´s creation, and you can read it here.

The premise is simple: Anyone can access the website and choose an experience. ChefPassport has a portfolio of 40 chefs, 20 international cuisines, and over 150 dishes. Find the one that suits your taste, book a class, and prepare yourself for a gastronomic journey without leaving your kitchen. You´ll receive a list of ingredients to buy and also a link to connect with your Chef on the scheduled day and time.

It all sounds great, don´t you agree? But what if, while learning how to cook and having a fantastic meal with an experienced chef, you could also meet new people, make friends, and potentially find the love of your life? That´s where the Meetic Group, the European leader in dating services, comes in: On 26 April, ChefPassport and Meetic announced a strategic partnership to help singles across Europe meet during virtual cooking experiences.

“We believe that food is a medium of love.”

Singles from the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain can access the Events Page on the ChefPassport´s website and register for exclusive online cooking events. Top Chef Instructors, graduates of ChefPassport’s unique digital chef training program, teach authentic recipes virtually and in real-time to groups of singles. ChefPassport Virtual Event Producers assist in introductions, promote conversations, and coordinate speed-dating activities at the end of every session.

The whole registering process is easy and user-friendly: At the website, you select the event by country and age group among two categories: 30-45 years, or above 50 years. To guarantee the best interactivity among the attendees, each event is limited to 20 participants. It includes a 60-minute interactive cooking class and a 30-minute virtual diner to get to know the other participants.

To Morgane Marolleau Arbouz – Head of Meetic Events Europe, the partnership provides a way to “keep offering new experiences to singles despite the pandemic” and “provides a chance to our singles to make meaningful connections all over Europe”.

The initiative consolidates Matteo Ressa´s vision and gives us a glimpse of the possibilities for the company: “Our collaboration with a company like Meetic represents a leap forward in our growth strategy. It will help increase our brand exposure and reputation, as well as consolidate our European position as the first international company providing online interactive cooking services.”
