Code Club Luxembourg Celebrates 5th Anniversary

Code Club Luxembourg kicks off the new season of after-school coding clubs with a “Coding Goûter” at the Technoport in Belval this weekend. 120 kids aged 6 to 12, accompanied by an adult, will get to know computer programming in a fun and playful way.

Founded in 2013 and based on an international initiative, Code Club Luxembourg is a community of volunteers who pass on their passion for computer programming to children aged 8 to 12 in free extra-curricular clubs. There are clubs in Bonnevoie, Strassen / Bertrange, Limpertsberg, Dudelange and Schifflange – and potentially near you, provided we find new volunteers!

Coding Goûter is a multilingual event (EN/FR/DE/LB) where kids aged 6 to 12, accompanied by an adult, get to know computer programming in a fun and playful way. The main idea behind “Coding Goûter” is to allow children to take their first steps in digital coding together with their (grand) parents. The whole family will learn some computing basics, under the guidance of experts volunteering for Code Club.

The program includes 7 workshops, from a hands-on approach to creating video games and steering robots as well as lots of fun activities around computers for the whole family. And there will be a special guest: QTrobot, the award-winning expressive humanoid social robot created by the Luxembourg startup LuxAI.

At the end of the day, families will have the tools, knowledge and inspiration to continue coding together at home!
