Code Club Luxembourg: Digital kick-off for the 2017-18 school year

Founded in 2013 and based on an international initiative, Code Club Luxembourg is a community of volunteers who pass on their passion for computer programming to children aged 9 to 12 in free extra-curricular clubs. There are clubs in Bonnevoie, Strassen / Bertrange, Limpertsberg and Schifflange.
Free “Coding Goûter” organised for children and their families on Sunday, 8 October 2017

As part of the new season of after-school coding clubs, Code Club Luxembourg is organising a “Coding Goûter” at the Technoport in Belval, this Sunday, 8 October 2017, from 2 to 5 p.m.

Coding Goûter is a multilingual event (EN/FR/DE/LB) where kids aged 6 to 12, accompanied by an adult, get to know computer programming in a fun and playful way.

The main idea behind “Coding Goûter” is to allow children to make their first steps in digital coding together with their parents. The whole family will learn some computing basics, under the guidance of experts volunteering for Code Club.

The program includes a hands-on approach to creating video games and steering robots as well as lots of fun activities around computers for the whole family. Not to forget a workshop specifically designed for parents.

At the end of the day, families will have the tools, knowledge and inspiration to continue coding together at home!

As part of the EU Code Week, the event takes place in the innovative environment of the Technoport, our sponsor, in a convivial atmosphere. Bring a little something to nibble and we’ll share a snack.
