For the authentication of its data and the traceability of its products, the articulated lifting ring specialist has called on Telindus (for the technology) and Luxinnovation (for the consulting and financing).

Codipro, the Wiltz-based producer of articulated lifting rings, innovates with a real-time data traceability management tool: Coditracer.

Based on blockchain, the application guarantees the security and confidentiality of information throughout the value chain of the manufacturer: from the production of the raw material, through the assembly of the ring, to its distribution and use by its customers.

Coditracer guarantees the authentication of the lifting rings and facilitates the availability of the associated documents, in particular to fight against counterfeiting.

“This approach is also part of an ecological approach, allowing us to no longer have to use plastic to package documents.”

“The technological solution implemented meets several challenges. It allows us to improve our customer service, which can now find all the useful information without delay. The technology allows us to improve the traceability of our products, to eventually identify the users, to access information that we did not always have in the past,” explains Christophe Losange, the director of Codipro, in a press release.

“This approach is also part of an ecological approach, allowing us to no longer have to use plastic to package documents.”

On the technological development side, the company collaborated with the teams of the ITC operator Telindus, for the registration of the information in the blockchain, for the digitisation of the documents, and their availability to the customers.

As for the financing of the project, the company benefited from state aid and advice from Luxinnovation.
