The Creative Innovation Lab aims to encourage actors from cultural and creative sectors to develop and test innovative digital solutions, with a focus on achieving greening goals and creating innovative educational tools. For this, the EU Commission is providing 13.6 million euros – more than twice as much as last year.
Do you offer a digital solution that supports a more sustainable and inclusive environment and lifestyle, while improving knowledge transfer between different sectors of the creative industries? Furthermore, is your approach potentially replicable across different sectors and holds the potential for social behaviour change? Great – then this latest call of the EU Commission’s Creative Europe programme might be of interest to you.
The Creative Innovation Lab aims to support the development of innovative tools, models and methods that can be applied in the audiovisual sector and in at least one other creative or cultural sector. These proposals must be submitted by a consortium of at least three applicants, with at least two organisations from two different countries participating in the Creative Europe Programme. The deadline for submitting proposals for this call is 7 September 2022.
This call takes on a variety of objectives: boosting competitiveness, greening processes, cooperation, circulation, visibility, availability, diversity and audiences across sectors. In addition to the recurring objectives and activities, the focus this year is on eco-friendly and educational tools to address relevant societal issues.
Accordingly, special attention will be given to applications that demonstrate appropriate strategies to ensure a more sustainable and environmentally friendly industry, as well as gender balance, inclusion, diversity, and representativeness.
Interested in participating? Mark your calendars for 12 May for more useful information: From 11h00 to 13h00, the Creative Europe Desks from Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Austria will host a joint online session. The programme includes a presentation on the Creative Innovation Lab, a summary of dos and don’ts in an interview with Emmanuel Cocq from the Brussels agency EACEA and the introduction to a couple of case studies of funded projects such as the Silbersalz Insitut.
