Data Scientist / Full stack developer (m/f) | UFT

Do you want to join us in solving ever increasing traffic problems and reduce their negative impact on our well-being and the environment?

In order to expand our expertise in the data analytics and visualization domain, we are looking for a full stack developer who can help design and implement our analytics platform.

You will be part of our team of experienced software developers. Using state of the art software development tools such as git, automated testing, bug trackers, CI, debuggers etc. should be your standard approach.

You will implement geo-temporal visualization components in react, typescript and openlayers, assist in the design of data warehousing database schemas that flexibly store analytics data, implement analyzing functions in python/numpy or R and integrate the whole into our webbased backend (java/postgres/postgis). Additionally, you will help our front-end developers in improving and extending the backend UI (react/typescript).

Since we operate in a highly competitive market, being reactive to new requirements is of utmost importance. We expect you to be curious about new technologies and state of the art in programming and frontend technology. You should question dubious decisions and be proactive in suggesting changes to the benefit of our customers.

Solid foundations in statistics are considered a plus.

About the company

UFT develops software for demand responsive transit for public transportation. We break free from one-schedule-fits-all transportation and offer solutions that adapt to individual demand by filling the gap between fixed lines and taxicabs.

What we offer

We offer you a 40h/week fulltime employment and an indefinite contract as well as a challenging job in an international, friendly and highly motivated team. We are conveniently located in the centre of Luxembourg City, the cosy, yet cosmopolitan heart of Europe. By challenging we don’t mean chronic overtime and little pay but rather hard but interesting problems and the opportunity to make a difference.
