Luxembourg-based deelan adds live 1:1 AI Coaching to its platform, giving each sales rep personalised guidance on the skills they most need to improve.
The launch completes deelan’s platform of courses, roleplays and assessments, covering the full cycle of sales skill development. Sessions draw on training activity, company knowledge and sales calls.
Announced on October 1st, AI Coaching lets reps take part in live, individualised sessions with an AI coach, while reducing the manual coaching load on managers. deelan says one sales manager can set up the platform, with training generated from the team’s own calls, playbooks and product documentation. We asked CEO and co-founder Panos Meintanis what gap the feature fills, how it works and what comes next after the company’s seed round, led by Expon Capital in June.
“A manager with eight reps can’t listen to every call.”

What gap does AI Coaching fill in your platform, and how is it different from a general-purpose AI assistant?
Coaching is the thing that makes salespeople better, and it’s the thing managers never have time for. A manager with eight reps can’t listen to every call. So most coaching happens once in a while, based on gut feel.
Until now, deelan has focused on learning: courses, roleplays and practice. AI Coaching picks up where that stops. After a real sales call or a training session, deelan follows up with the rep, shows them what went well, what to fix, and gives them the right practice.
A general AI assistant can summarise a call. It doesn’t know how your team sells, or what a rep struggled with last month. Most sales tools look at the deal or the call. We look at the person, and track how their skills improve over time.
“If the person improves, managers see it in a clear report.”

How does the AI coach know what each rep needs to work on, and how do you protect customer data?
It starts with real calls. deelan imports them and checks each one against the skills that matter in sales, or against the company’s own way of selling. That shows where each rep has gaps.
Then we look for patterns. One bad call is noise, but if a team member keeps making the same mistake, that’s something to fix. deelan builds the right fix for that team member: coaching, roleplays or training depending on the situation.
Finally, we compare before and after. If the person improves, managers see it in a clear report. If not, deelan keeps building more practice until they get there.
“The more deelan sees, the better the coaching gets.”

What are deelan’s priorities for the next 12 months after your seed round?
We want deelan to be always on in the background, helping teams get better every day. That means three things.
First, connecting to the tools sales teams already use. We already work with tools like Notion, Slack and call recording platforms, and we’re adding CRMs and more. The more deelan sees, the better the coaching gets.
Second, making AI Coaching the heart of the product.
Third, growing with sales teams across Europe and the U.S.
