Leading IT consulting and training company, Devoteam, has developed a range of hybrid learning options to help customers, whatever their needs. This includes a brand new training programme on cloud computing with Luxembourg’s Digital Learning Hub.

Devoteam Luxembourg has been offering training for IT professionals via its training centre in Windhof for more than 25 years. Whilst the company has a presence in over 18 countries globally, the training services are based in Luxembourg and were historically given face-to-face.

Offering flexibility for learners globally

Since the pandemic, Devoteam has pivoted to providing virtual training opportunities, enabling more people across their network to benefit without having to travel. According to Vanessa Mameri, General Manager of Devoteam’s Training Centre, “it’s important that we meet the needs and preferences of our learners wherever they are.” So, although pandemic restrictions have now been lifted, their virtual offering remains.

In addition to fully virtual learning, Devoteam also offers hybrid learning through their live connected classrooms. They have equipped two of their five training rooms with interactive whiteboards, cameras, microphones etc., to enable live broadcasting of the training. That allows those who want to learn in-person to do so, whilst enabling those in other countries to access virtually. As Mameri explains, “we want all learners to have the same experience whether live or face-to-face.”

To further meet the needs of their customers, Devoteam are also opening an office in Clausen at the end of 2022. Here, there are several flex rooms, which will allow for private training sessions on request for those who find Luxembourg City a more convenient location.

Learn the fundamentals of cloud computing

On top of their own training catalogue, Devoteam have just announced a new collaboration with the Digital Learning Hub – Luxembourg’s national IT training facility – called “Your Journey to the Cloud.” This five-and-a-half-day training course is based around six tracks. It will teach the fundamentals of cloud computing, including explanations of the main cloud service providers – Microsoft, Google and AWS. Mameri highlights, “the course will also teach DevOps culture, which is really important now within IT departments.” A final module on “FinOps” has just been announced, which will take learners through the financial impact of migrating to the cloud.

The first track starts in November this year and is open to anyone looking to advance their skills, including students, job seekers or digital professionals who need additional training. No prior-qualifications are needed for this course, it is open to anyone, and will be taught in French. Registration for the course is now open via the Digital Learning Hub.
