Diego De Biasio Takes Reins At EBN

The CEO of Luxembourg’s Technoport Incubator has been appointed president of the European Business and Innovation Centre Network (EBN).

EBN is a pan-European network of business and innovation centres that aims to promote entrepreneurship, foster innovation, and support the growth of innovative businesses across Europe. Its members include incubators, accelerators, research centres, and other ecosystem players.

According to a statement from the EBN, Diego De Biasio will lead the organisation in promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange among EU business and innovation centres (EU|BIC) across the continent. 

“It is an absolute honour to lead EBN and work alongside such talented and dedicated professionals,” De Biasio said, adding: “I am deeply committed to fostering a thriving environment for entrepreneurship and innovation across Europe, and I look forward to leveraging EBN’s extensive network and expertise to support the growth of innovative businesses and drive economic development.”

De Biasio joined Technoport over two decades ago. He was appointed CEO in 2012 and since then has supported a series of successful startups thanks to a period of rapid growth in the Luxembourg startup ecosystem. 

De Biasio succeeds Cristina Fanjul (CEO at EU|BIC CEEI Asturias) at EBN. He has appointed Pietro de Martino as vice president. EU|BIC F.I.L.S.E.’s (Italy) Incubation manager and the Italian representative on the EBN board of directors.
