Digitising Board Management Processes With BoardiGO

Barely a year old, BoardiGO is a new Luxembourgish startup aimed at digitising and simplifying board workflows in a secure manner. Co-founder Julien Jenoudet briefly introduces this new startup.

What problem does BoardiGO solve?

Companies and boards are compelled to be more efficient and are looking for productivity gains through digitalisation while remaining compliant. BoardiGO does exactly that for them.

What motivated you to launch BoardiGO in 2021?

When I passed on the baton as CEO of my previous company, I became one of its board members. At the receiving end of the board management process, my experience was disappointing, to say the least. The day I received the 20th email to set up the next board meeting, I said to myself “there has to be a better way”.

How does BoardiGO simplify board members’ work and increase transparency?

BoardiGO is working both for the board members and the corporate secretaries. We’re not telling our clients how they should run their governance, we’re just helping them run it quick and clean.

Which of BoardiGO’s features are used the most by your clients?

Before the board meetings, they use features that eliminate time-consuming tasks such as finding a date or gathering the board pack. These features are the scheduling pool, the document request and automated board pack.

During the meeting, they want both flexibility and compliance. They switch from online to hybrid mode and vote and sign according to their governance rules. They value the fact that we’re eIDAS compliant, which is an insurance against potential claims.

After the meeting, automated minutes and circulars are key to ensuring the process is duly closed. From beginning to end, our audit trail tool makes answering questions from the stakeholders or the authorities very simple.

What milestones have you achieved since founding BoardiGO?

All in all, everything has been going according to plan so far. We’ve built a great team and developed a fully featured product in less than a year. During the winter, the beta phase was instrumental in fine-tuning the product and we’re now confident we’re matching the needs of our clients.

What are your plans for the remainder of the year?

We’ll continue developing our customer base and our sales agent network as we’ve got an indirect distribution model. Some more features are coming in the fall, such as integration with Zoom, Google Meet and Teams.
