The Director of Finance will be key to the future growth of Eurosender. The main place of work for the role is in Luxembourg with the finance team based predominantly in Slovenia and requiring occasional travel abroad. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary package including the option of equity compensation.
Working closely with top management, the Director of Finance must be strategic in uncovering business opportunities and risks as well as pro-active in leveraging the company’s resources and reducing expenses.
Eurosender is headquartered in Luxembourg, LU and has offices in Luxembourg, Ljubljana and Kiev.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Devise and implement policies and procedures to structure the finance department ensuring a well-controlled yet flexible organization with strong fiscal management, cross team communication and workflow,
Provide leadership and direction of the finance team, manage financial and accounting operations,
Oversee and assure the accuracy of all financial reporting materials and metrics, prepare timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements,
Lead financial planning and budgeting processes, review and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate,
Work closely with department heads to establish expectations for budgets, forecast purposes and identify variances from budget and forecast projections,
Consistently analyse financial data and keep leadership abreast of financial status, risks and opportunities,
Implement strategic decisions to achieve committed performance while maintaining strong internal controls and safeguarding company assets,
Set financial targets, implement fund-raising strategies and manage relationships with partners and investors.
5+ years of managerial experience in finance,
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus,
Fluent in English and French or German,
Experience in a growth company establishing finance processes procedures is a plus.
