In the last two years, Docify has expanded globally, grown to 14 employees and added a new technology–all while being bootstrapped. Company CEO Simon Joly explains.
Few people can honestly say that they enjoy the monotonous repetitive parts of their job. When Simon Joly worked as a lawyer and later, legal counsel, the time and resources spent on standardising documents was so high, it propelled him to find a solution. In 2021, he co-created the document automation firm Docify, a startup which has found the perfect market in Luxembourg’s financial services landscape.
“Luxembourg is the second financial place in the world for investment funds,” Joly explained, adding: “There are a lot of big names offices in many countries and because we had a product recognised for its quality, we were also able to equip all the offices in all those countries.”
Docify’s recently expanded its impressive client portfolio to include Ogier Global in Luxembourg, whose corporate and fund services division has integrated the digital platform Docify as part of its fund administration team’s “commitment to leveraging technology to deliver exceptional service to clients”.

Head of Fund Administration at Ogier Global in Luxembourg Valere Twagirayezu said: “By embracing digital tools like Docify we are able to increase the speed and accuracy of our services. We prioritise delivering high-quality corporate documents quickly and consistently.”
This and other key client acquisitions have enabled Docify’s team to grow to 14, move into private offices and launch a new module, all within four years of launch. Workflow aims to automate and streamline all the processes of its clients, mainly in the financial sector.
“This means we’re expanding our reach to a broader audience and more departments. Our goal is to fully automate the processes, ensuring our clients have complete confidence that all necessary checks, reviews, and formalities have been carried out, while providing them with an easy way to track everything,” said Joly. Looking to the next two years, Docify is investing heavily into AI features to assist clients in specific tasks, following from customer demand. Joly explained that use cases could include assistance with template creation, or review reformulation. “Our approach is to leverage AI only where it truly adds value, as we firmly believe that in some cases, better results can be achieved without it,” said Joly, adding: “Our goal is to strike the perfect balance between automation and AI, ensuring that our solution continues to deliver real added value without being entirely dependent on artificial intelligence.”
