When talking about “the cloud”, most people think of some overpriced Apple service that rarely functions the way they want it to. Emma, the Luxembourg-based multicloud management business wants to change this. Emma promises the simplest multicloud management platform to date that aims to save businesses costs and increase their security.

Emma, an acronym for “enterprise multicloud management application”, is the brainchild of CEO and founder Dmitry Panenkov. Founded in 2019, emma wants to fill the current void in the cloud industry by offering the first “comprehensive multicloud solution” on the market.

When asked to elaborate on the problem emma aims to solve, Dmitry explained that the none of the current cloud solutions seamlessly integrate multiple cloud services. This lack of integration slows down businesses and forces them to hire developers to create multi-cloud solutions from scratch.

Realising that there was potential to create a software solution that could combine the different cloud services in one, Dmitry and his team worked tirelessly for 2 years to create emma, an end-to-end solution and, as he puts it, “the first understandable cloud.” Their multicloud software aims to save businesses up to 70% of their could bills and help them move to market faster.

Businesses of any size can use emma’s multicloud solution. Emma offers an exciting 30-day trial period where anyone can test the product and make up their mind for themselves. This limited offer that ends in July includes all the benefits from a paying subscription, including plans, advanced analytics and AI recommendations among other things.

“Fit 4 Start has been really important and useful for us and the entire team has been excited about our participation.”

Emma’s learns from Fit 4 Start

Emma is currently also taking part in Luxembourg’s leading startup acceleration programme Fit 4 Start. Although last year’s Fit 4 Start programme had to be postponed due to covid-19, Luxinnovation and Technoport managed to get last year’s participants back together for a covid-friendly event.

CEO and founder Dmitry Panenkov has been very happy with Fit 4 Start’s welcome and support of Emma. He mentioned that the coaching sessions have proved especially useful for him and the team and that Fit 4 Start has been the best programme they have taken part in so far.

“These coaches, they have done a lot of cool stuff in their lives. They’ve been entrepreneurs and they have been consultants in the biggest companies of the world. And you can get all their insight and knowledge for free. Fit 4 Start has been really important and useful for us and the entire team has been excited about our participation.”

Ambitions for the future

Dmitry is optimistic about the future. Having already signed with exciting clients in fintech, the automotive and the health industry, the applications for emma appear endless.

Wanting to establish the “next standard in the cloud industry” with emma, they see Luxembourg’s location in Europe as an ideal place to have their Headquarters. Going forward, emma hopes to secure clients all around the world and get their main team members set up in Luxembourg. Currently their team consists of 38 employees but they are still looking to for talent ready to commit to their vision.
