Foundry supports startups internationally and locally in Luxembourg with a focus on innovation and business acceleration. CEO James Monnat provides insights into the future of Foundry, while offering a state-of-the-art co-working space, comprehensive programs, and mentorship for entrepreneurs to thrive.

Can you pitch Foundry in a few words?

Foundry is a lovely place designed to connect the business community and collective resources of Luxembourg in supporting the deployment of innovation in Europe. We are evolving Foundry with social, food and hospitality offerings to cater to the community.

Why did you decide to create Foundry?

Foundry was launched with the mission of turning the Luxembourg ecosystem into an accelerator to bring new and needed ideas into the European marketplace as an open and inclusive platform along the concept of Luxembourg as one of Europe’s greatest gateways.

Do you have any accelerator program?

We regularly operate challenge-based accelerators with corporate and ecosystem partners around the globe. This fall we will run an ambitious initiative with global partners to source, test and deploy innovative solutions to accelerate the decarbonization of heavy industry starting with Louisiana in the States and clusters around the UK.

What’s next?

In partnership with ESSCA, an accredited business school and Grande Ecole in France, we will soon open a global center of expertise at Foundry, offering training for climate entrepreneurship and a range of climate active and aware business subjects to equip the business community with the skills and opportunity for the coming Climate Market, new economy and next generation landscape as we target Net Zero and beyond.
