The online platform allows patients to consult their doctors, dentists, or midwives online, via audio or video devices. Doctors can then issue prescriptions and can also securely exchange medical documents and test results with their patients. The application is compatible with all popular operating systems and devices and can be accessed on smartphones, tablets, or laptops.

“Considering the highly contagious nature of the virus, we had to find a means to help reduce the risk of contamination, but still allow professionals to treat their patients while protecting themselves. This led us to decide to put eConsult in place,” explained Hervé Barge, the director of the eSanté Agency.

Available to all in Luxembourg

The service is available to all medical professionals, residents, and workers of Luxembourg.

Wagner Group which is active in ICT, real estate, and tech solutions is the main technical consultant of the project. Founded in 1929, Wagner Group Luxembourg specializes in building equipment, including real estate, ICT, and technical services and solutions. The group owns, among other companies, European Data Hub which operates a datacenter in Drosbach, situated in Luxembourg City’s district of Cloche d’Or.

G-Core Labs, an edge cloud infrastructure specialist, will host and secure the solution in a dedicated cloud environment developed by both partners. The infrastructure will be located in a Tier IV EDH datacenter in Luxembourg.

Launched in Vienna in 2011, G-Core Labs specializes in global cloud and edge services, including content delivery, public cloud, streaming and security solutions. The 18-people company moved its headquarters to Luxembourg in 2015. Nowdays the company employs more than 350 in-house specialists around the world.
