German Digital Affairs Expert Participates In Digital Policies Discussion

On 1 March, Silicon Luxembourg had the pleasure to accompany Benjamin Brake, head of department for digital and data policy in the German Federal Ministry for Digital Affairs and Transport, for a roundtable discussion on EU digital policies and digital data.

Altogether 13 people, consisting of governmental representatives, institutions, associations, founders and CEOs active in the digital and technology sector joined the discussion with Mr Brake at Hotel Francais.

After a short presentation on the activities of each party present, the discussion focused on how each deals with the current digital policies governing Luxembourg, their perception of Germany in the field of digitisation and differences in regulations between the two countries.

Further points included prominent hurdles in relation to innovation and digitisation in Europe, as well as outlooks on future developments that positively impact a European digital infrastructure.
