WordPress Luxembourg Meetups are back! To open the second season of the Luxembourgish Community, Laurent and Mathieu, in partnership with nyuko, are glad to announce a 3-part series, specifically aimed at beginners.
“Getting started with WordPress – from Zero to Hero”
Whether you are brand new to WordPress or even new to everything about starting your own website, this series is the starting point you are looking for! This totally free series of 3 meetups is designed to help beginners start on the right foot and avoid the common pitfalls. We’ll cover topics and answer questions such as:

- How to get a domain name and hosting?
- How to install WordPress and best-practice setup for a new website
- Making it look good: how to pick and customise a theme?
- Adding new functionalities: what are plugins and how do they work?
- How to set your goals and plan your site’s structure?
- Start writing: how to create and manage your content?
- Getting the word out: you have a new site setup, now what?
- Conversions: reputation, leads, sales, etc. How to reach your goals?
- What cost does all of this involves?
- How can I keep my site safe and secure?
After the talk, we’ll all have a drink and make the WordPress community in Luxembourg live and breath! 😀

Networking session
The meetup gathers a broad range of WordPress enthusiasts with varied backgrounds. The keynotes are always followed by a drink and a session of informal networking, where all attendees can meet and chat with guest speakers and other users, from experienced professionals to beginners. This is an occasion for all to discuss ideas and best-practices, sharing knowledge and opportunities!

WordPress Luxembourg
The WordPress Luxembourg Community started in July 2016 as a simple informal meetup founded by Laurent Maillard. With the support of the WordPress Foundation, it aimed at becoming the local branch of the global WordPress community.The monthly meetup quickly picked up with a fast-growing member base (183+ as of today) and broad range of attendees from experienced professional developers and designers to less experienced end-users. Mathieu Sarrasin officially joined Laurent as a co-organizer in March 2017, to help the community grow further and organize bigger events.

No matter whether you are an expert developer or a hobby blogger, or if you have never used WordPress at all but are interested in learning more and getting started, for a personal project or for your next company website, you are welcome to join!
