Giftable, the innovative startup which combines online gifting and in-person experiences is offering its services in 19 additional European countries. It hopes to continue fostering social connection and fun experiences.

After being stuck in a lockdown loop for almost two years, everyone has been relishing the opportunity to see friends and family in-person again. Giftable, the Luxembourg-based startup has found a way to tap into our need for social connection and fuse it with our increasingly online lives.

“During the pandemic, practically everything moved online. For the most part, that was a good thing. With online shopping, for example, we have access to more products and services from the sofa than we do from the high street. However, social interaction is one area where digital is still letting us down,” says Michel Hoffmann, Founder of Giftable.

Using the Giftable app, users can select a wide range of in-person experiences – ranging from a simple coffee to a relaxing mani-ped or a fun game of laser tag – and send it to one of their friends, colleagues or family as an online gift.

The sender of the gift has two options. They can either select the 7-day option “not redeemed, not debited”, or the 90-day option, which charges the gift giver directly but gives the recipient more time to redeem their gift.

“Zoom is no match for a coffee with a friend. Skype is no match for an exhilarating game of laser tag with a group of good buddies.”

More Countries, More Gifts

Previously restricted to Luxembourg, Giftable’s recent partnership with TUI Musement has helped it expand its services across 19 additional European countries. The partnership also grows its gift catalogue to include more than 40,000 options and adds options for local delivery.

The list of countries in which Giftable is now available includes: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain.

“Zoom is no match for a coffee with a friend. Skype is no match for an exhilarating game of laser tag with a group of good buddies. Through Giftable’s European expansion, we hope to show the world that all those things we loved to do before the pandemic hit are all still waiting for us and still possible,” says Michel Hoffman.

As a subsidiary of the company The Kindness Group, Giftable continues down the road of relationship and community focussed solutions. And with Tessy Antony de Nassau, former Princess of Luxembourg, joining the group of directors, The Kindness Group is in experienced hands.

Available for free on iOS and Android devices, the Giftable app can now be downloaded just in time for the holiday season.
