After attending the Arch Summit 2022, the responsible social media startup successfully raised €1 million in its first seed round. More funding rounds are expected in the near future as the startup hopes to expand across Europe.

Being able to count 90% of their current investors from Luxembourg and exceeding their fundraising target by €250K is a promising sign for the young startup of CEO Urban Gillström.

“We wanted to have as many Luxembourg-based investors as possible for our first round. That’s why we kept this round very close to our team,” explained Urban Gillström.

The investors of Greenworlder, a “responsible social media” platform, are a mix of private individuals, returning investors and the Luxembourg-based family office ROC.

After their initial beta launch, the company took its time to “make a lot of changes and do a total rebrand of our design and improve our usability,” said Urban.

While a full launch is planned soon, the startup is currently getting ready for Slush 2022 and “gearing up for a bigger round which will take us globally, hopefully in the second half of next year,” said Urban.

The capital of their first fundraising round will go towards the development of the platform, expanding their team and marketing expenses. The startup is also hoping to receive additional funding for being a “young innovative enterprise”.
