Times are hard for clubs and bars. Nevertheless, their creativity remains intact. This is the case of our friends from Club De Gudde Wëllen (i.e. the home of our Startup Apéro’s monthly events). They are launching an auction to support the Club and are calling on 30 exceptional artists.
“Inspired by the generous proposal of the artist Sarah Mandres to collect funds for the Club by selling one of her paintings, we came up with a broader idea: To create an online exhibition with 30 artists that we feel are in one way or another related to De Gudde Wëllen (some are friends, other have contributed to shaping the Club over the years, others are concert or party regulars), and to provide a platform for them to sell their art while additionally raising funds for the Club,” says Luka Heindrichs, Owner of De Gudde Wëllen.
You knew the House of Startups, the House of Entrepreneurship or the House of Training. Here’s a new creative concept that’s making its appearance. With the “House of Auction” initiative you have a chance to collect art, support the artist and support the club. By checking this online exhibition you can become the owner of any work that your heart and eyes fall in love with. Not only will you be adding a memorable piece to your collection, but you will be helping the artist as well as the club getting through these dire times and have a chance to celebrate it with a special gathering at De Gudde Wëllen!
This initiative is for:
– All arts enthusiasts, who get to take a look at 57 different pieces created by contemporary artists
– All arts collectors, who might broaden their collection with a piece acquired during these memorable times
– The artists, some who are battling the Covid19 crisis related austerity and need promotion
– The Culture Club which, by taking a share from the final raised amounts, will be able to cover some of its running costs.
