Now that the crypto craze has finally died down, it is time to consider how distributed ledger technologies (DLT) can impact other areas of the economy. As a key enabling technology, Blockchain has the potential to make an important contribution in today’s data-driven economy: from timestamping documents to streamlining processes, its applications appear endless.

While talk about cryptocurrencies has dominated most of the discussions around DLTs, Infrachain, the Luxembourg-based non-profit with a European focus, hopes to shift the focus to governance and business uses cases. Specifically, it wants to look at the benefits of using DLTs in Industry 4.0, the circular economy and the creative industries.

Held on 18 November 2021, Infrachain Summit 2021 will invite both national and international experts who will deep-dive into topics covering the use cases of 3D printing, chemicals tracing, IP, royalties management and many more. Attendees will also get the opportunity to learn more about tokenisation, NFTs, smart contract and digital identification are building the economy of tomorrow.

International Ties

The Infrachain Summit, which opens with a keynote speech by Minister of the Economy Franz Foyot, is known for its collaborative approach. To this end, this year’s conference will not only take place in Luxembourg but also in Bologna, Italy.

While the Luxembourgish conference will take place at the LHoFT, the Italian conference with its member Net Service SpA will take in Bologna. To make it available to as many people as possible, the event will also be available to people online.
