Role Description:

We are looking for an IT Systems Administrator and technical support who can grow together with our European business. You will take ownership and oversee IT Risk Management, information security, manage our infrastructure, act as local IT Help-desk and conduct regulatory reporting as well as help to build and refine bitFlyer Europe. You may also assist customer operations team in answering technical queries from customers. The responsibilities will also include office management and ensuring proper work environment for all employees in collaboration with the administration division. You will report to the management team of bitFlyer Europe and Infrastructure and Security team of bitFlyer Japan. Though this is an individual contributor role, it provides great opportunity for growth, providing your input and impacting the business in significant way. A familiarity and genuine interest in Bitcoin and blockchain technology is desirable.


  • Provide technical support internally.
  • Assist the customer operations team in resolving any technical customer queries.
  • Setup, maintain, monitor and test performance and security of bitFlyer Europe IT infrastructure.
  • Management and operations of cloud infrastructure.
  • Draft and administer our information security policy and other IT related policies.
  • Act as point of contact with HQ Infrastructure and Security Team to appropriately adopt all necessary tools, policies and frameworks to bitFlyer Europe environment.
  • Handle regulatory IT compliance reporting to the regulator and perform an IT audit.
  • Manage service level agreements with third party IT services providers.
  • Office management.

Desired Attitude, Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience working in an end-user desktop support role or computer operations environment required (equivalent of Tier 1 and 2 support level).
  • Thorough familiarity and experience with Luxembourg regulatory requirements for IT environment for financial institution and ISO27001 and ISO27002 Standards.
  • Good knowledge of the entire IT landscape.
  • Experience with Atlassian Suite.
  • Self-starting and well-organized approach to work.
  • Adaptability to dynamic environment and dealing with change.
  • Superb written and oral communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to effectively work with data.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic SQL queries would be a plus.


  • Fluent in English (oral/written).
  • Other European languages are a plus (French or German preferred)
