John Paul Luxembourg in the mobile payments era

Alongside the recent inauguration of their latest service desk within the offices of the Ferrero group, John Paul Luxembourg has partnered with Koosmik a Luxembourgish startup to offer a faster, safer and simpler payment experience.

From now on, employees of Caceis, Indosuez, EY and Ferrero have the possibility to pay for their services (dry cleaning, car valeting, flower deliveries, etc) with their smartphones; either remotely or at the desk using a dedicated mobile application.

“This evolution is in line with John Paul’s commitment to progressively digitalise the service they offer to the employees of large entities”, states Hélène Marchon, CEO of John Paul Luxembourg highlighting a key dimension of the group’s strategy. “John Paul distinguishes itself within the sector by innovating and investing in new technologies. Our vision is to provide our clients with wholesome solutions to simplify their day-to-day. In this context, the trend tends to veer towards using mobile interfaces”.

Synergies within the Luxembourgish ecosystem

The directors of this young start-up are delighted to leverage such a partnership and make Koosmik mobile payment services available to a new user-base, in Luxembourg and the greater region. The latter will join some 2,000 users already using the solution to reimburse their friends securely and for free.

“Although we have decided to deploy ourselves towards African regions this year due to the market potential being far stronger, Luxembourg remains our domestic market and it is very important to sustain this preliminary local traction generated by this partnership”, justifies Grégoire Yakan, Koosmik CEO.

He adds that he is pleasantly surprised by the innovative state of mind enjoyed by the Grand Duchy’s business environment: “When integrating our innovative solutions, it is a true advantage to be able to fuse proactive commercial relations and retain the trust of partners such as John Paul!”

As of now, employees already benefitting from John Paul services are free to download Koosmik’s application from the Apple or the Google Play store and use it to purchase from their concierge or for their financial exchanges between friends.
