Founded in 2021, KEYM recently raised a €1m Pre-Seed round and doubled its team to push the development of its social media and networking app for the music industry which just released for iOS and Android.

Co-founded by Thionville residents Michael Gonzalez and Xavier Michely, KEYM aims to give music industry professionals a platform to find each other and collaborate.

“We created KEYM, a music social network to allow everyone to find in a few clicks the profiles that meet all their needs,” explains Michael, adding: “It allows you to create a profile, publish your portfolios and your artistic CV, and exchange with all the enthusiasts in the cities of your choice.”

The platform caters to the entire music ecosystem and supports amateurs and seasoned professionals alike in developing their businesses and creative pursuits.

“[…] to be recognised as an innovative and unifying space in the music ecosystem in France and Benelux.”

“The whole ecosystem is concerned by this app, from the singer to the musician, or dancer, through the director, the photographer, the sound and light technicians or even the make-up artist or the press,” says Michael.

Having recently raised €1m in seed funding from business angels, KEYM grew from 4 to 7 employees since January and changed its company status from a SARL to a SA.

The co-founders have hinted that they are working on a big project due for release by the end of the year. By then, they also hope “to be recognised as an innovative and unifying space in the music ecosystem in France and Benelux.”
