Finally! After a rigorous on-boarding process, the SingularityU Luxembourg community – which is part of the SingularityU BeNeLux community – has been formalized and is organizing its launch event in a few days ! Singularity University is a global learning and innovation community using exponential technologies to tackle the world’s biggest challenges and build a better future for all. Community Leader Younis Hijazi gives us an overview. It should be noted the presence of familiar faces of the local tech ecosystem in the core team: Marc Serres (Luxembourg Space Agency), Fabrice Testa (SpaceTech investor), Charles-Louis Machuron (Silicon Luxembourg), Marina Andrieu (WIDE) and Pascal Steichen (securitymadein.lu).

Why did you decide to launch SU chapter in Luxembourg?
Luxembourg already has a vibrant and diverse tech and entrepreneurial ecosystem. But something was missing: the mindset of exponential technologies, 10X, abundance, global grand challenges. That’s where Singularity University (SU) comes in! With our new SingularityU Luxembourg community we are both connected to the SingularityU BeNeLux community and to the global SU community and its 140+ Chapters / cities.
What do you expect from this chapter? what type of activities do you expect to run?
With the Luxembourg community, we decided to focus on three main areas: Space, Security and Governance. We will organize a few events per year as well as a few informal afterworks. The goal is to federate a local impact-driven community of like-minded people around the key concepts of SU. Our first event taking place on March 25th in Luxembourg-Kirchberg is the perfect opportunity to meet with us and learn more about SU!
