The newly launched LetzCompare platform wants to help people make faster and better decisions when it comes to choosing internet, TV and smartphone providers.

Although the internet has simplified access to information, it has complicated, if not impaired, our decision-making. Behavioural scientists call it the paradox of choice, others simply call it analysis paralysis.

Whatever you want to call it, everyone is familiar with the burden of making the ‘right decision’, especially when it comes to a decision with long-term consequences. The recently launched company and same-titled website LetzCompare wants to help locals and especially expats see through all the noise and make it easier to choose internet, TV and smartphone providers and packages.

“One of the most asked questions on various expat forums is to recommend [a] home internet provider. The result is similar to asking [the] local Italian community for the pizza place – everyone has their own version of the truth,” says LetzCompare founder Oleksandr Petrykov.

As the “country’s first-ever price comparison service”, LetzCompare’s premise is simple yet promising. By providing consumers with unbiased information about the different prices and services offered in Luxembourg, they want to help them make decisions that reflect their needs and budget.

“Re-creating the status quo and shifting the power balance back to consumers.”

“Re-creating the status quo”

Apart from providing unbiased information, LetzCompare also helps cut down the time people usually spend on such decisions. Their company research showed that newcomers in Luxembourg often spend up to 5 days researching telecom providers. Even long-term residents have blind spots – their research showed that many can only name 3 providers.

So far, LetzCompare has 11 companies which users can choose from. Their intuitive and easy-to-use website allows consumers to use filters from data allowance, upfront fees, monthly fees and many others – LetzCompare does the work for you.

By giving consumers access to the most salient information and highlighting each company’s USPs without bias, LetzCompare hopes to help consumers find the right product for them.

Free to use and free from advertising noise, LetzCompare operates on the principles of transparency, efficiency and impartiality. It’s larger goal? “Re-creating the status quo and shifting the power balance back to consumers.”
