Digital Entertainment World Conference Gathers Leading Executives to Discuss the Future of Content Monetization

On February 18th through February 20th, the Luxembourg Trade & Investment Office in San Francisco attended the first-ever Digital Entertainment World Conference held in Los Angeles. The three-day event included more than 100 sessions featuring some 350 speakers from leading companies in the digital video, music, publishing, and game industries. DEW’s high-profile speakers included David Lawenda, Head of U.S. Global Marketing Solutions for Facebook, Aaron Levie, CEO of Box, and Peter Moore, COO of Electronic Arts.

The LTIO was an innovative sponsor of DEW, with a booth providing print information and videos on Luxembourg’s ICT landscape. LTIO Executive Director Georges Schmit delivered a presentation discussing Luxembourg’s leadership role as a location for digital entertainment distribution companies and e-commerce leaders in the EU, joining DEW’s founder and organizer, Ned Sherman in a session with digital entertainment executives. DEW also featured several “View from the Top” sessions throughout the conference, each tackling a different segment of the digital entertainment ecosystem. Representatives from Telindus, Telecom Luxembourg, Post Telecom, and ICT Spring were also in attendance.
