During his visit to the VivaTech event in Paris, Minister Franz Fayot took the opportunity to meet with the Paris&Co team and discuss potential collaborations between the startup communities of Luxembourg and Paris.

The meeting highlighted the similarities between Luxinnovation and Paris&Co in terms of their startup support programs. Minister Fayot emphasized the importance of building connections and fostering long-term collaborations between the two ecosystems.

One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the identification of startups. “During our visit, we discovered three worthwile Parisian startups interested in expanding their activities in Luxembourg. So the meeting could lead to tangible results, with new start-ups joining our ecosystem,” comments Luxembourg’s minister of Economy Franz Fayot.

When asked about his expectations for cooperation between the startup communities of Paris and Luxembourg and the potential impact on innovation and growth, Minister Fayot expressed his belief that the meeting with Paris&Co was just the first step in establishing fruitful partnerships.

“Our aim was also to explore possible synergies with Paris&Co, in terms of hosting startups for example. Luxinnovation, like Paris & Co, offers personalised support, specialised advice and targeted contacts”, adds Fayot. “The idea is to explore how we can mutually help our startups integrate into our respective ecosystems.”

The visit to Paris&Co during the VivaTech event signifies the commitment of Luxembourg’s Ministry of Economy to fostering international collaborations and creating an environment that nurtures innovation and growth. The exploration of partnerships with renowned players like Paris&Co sets the stage for future collaborations and knowledge sharing between the startup communities of Luxembourg and Paris.

Organized on the premises of Paris&Co, its director Loïc Dosseur was keen to stress that Paris&Co’s strategy was not one of incubation, but of innovation, and that Luxembourg startups were therefore welcome in Paris to develop and offer innovative solutions for French companies, among others.
