Regsearch’s one-stop shop for regulatory documentation for companies and individuals is one of seven startups to join the first Isle of Man Insurtech Acceleration Programme.

Over 70 firms applied for the inaugural 12-week programme, which begins on 26 September.

Founded in 2019, the Luxembourg regtech provides a regulatory search engine, giving individuals free access to any regulatory documentation in one location.

Regsearch CEO and founder Darren Douglas said: “The Insurance industry badly needs to have all things related to regulations to be easily accessible and in one place. We are delighted that our Swiss partners at F10 put us (REGSERACH) forward for this outstanding Insurtech Acceleration Program in the Isle of Man.”

The Isle of Man’s is a leading centre for life insurance and wealth management. Home to 12 authorised life insurance companies, some £72bn in assets is invested through Isle of Man Insurance companies, according to Finance Isle of Man.

The accelerator programme, which is offered in partnership with global innovation ecosystem F10, aims to strengthen the Island’s international reach in insurtech and innovation by supporting promising startups looking to collaborate with established insurance players in the region.

The first cohort will receive mentoring from insurance industry experts from programme partners including Zurich, Utmost, RI360, Momentum International, EIP and Hansard. In addition to masterclasses, coaching, and mentoring, the selected startups will also have the opportunity to attend the Scotland Fintech Festival and present their solutions in a unique pitching event on the 5th of October in Edinburgh.

Marc Hauser, Head of F10 Europe, said: “We are convinced, this batch of international startups has a lot to offer to the Insurtech ecosystem on the Isle of Man and beyond. The F10 team will support definition of collaborations, provide relevant masterclasses, facilitate face-to-face meetings as well as mentoring from F10 coaches and relevant partners.”

In addition to the Luxembourg regtech, the cohort includes:

Kasko (UK): Kasko enables insurers to design, launch and scale digital insurance services time and cost-effectively across all channels.

Kidbrooke (Stockholm): Kidbrooke enables financial institutions to create engaging customer journeys providing superior financial decision-support in a fraction of the time and cost, increasing profitability by consistently serving more customers across multiple channels.

Staple (Singapore): Staple develops cognitive AI to process, extract and reconcile non-structured data at scale, regardless of layout or language.
