More than 200 personnes attended the third edition of the Luxembourg Start-up Network(ing) Event organized by Luxinnovation at Carré Rotondes on September, Monday 22nd. The topic was “How to negotiate your company’s valuation?”. The negotiation of the value of a business begins already when the company founders determine its value at the incorporation stage. It continues with various investors when the firm is searching for additional financing, and is also crucial if the business is sold to new owners. On stage, Dr. Frank Leiber, Adjunct Professor at NYU Stern School of Business and CEO of Liboritz, Inc. gave some analytics and figures to better understand how to valuate a company. Then a panel of five key actors of Luxembourg start-up scene gave their advice to the audience : Michael Jackson (Mangrove Capital Partners), Laurent Muller (Muller & Associés), Marc Molitor (Luxembourg Business Angel Network, and Capital4IP), Patrick Kersten (Doctena) and Jérôme Pittie (ZiDCard).
