Insights #8 – Diego De Biasio, Technoport

Created 23 years ago, Technoport is the older incubator in Luxembourg. It hosts a very diverse ecosystem of entrepreneurs, who come from all over the world and are active in many different sectors.

“We are using the traditional arguments and facts that are published in different reports about Luxembourg and the competitiveness of the country. The small, dynamic and open market that can be used to test new applications and the strategic geographical location, for example, are very important for internationalisation.”

The huge efforts that the government has done over the last years to support startups with coaching programmes and funding schemes are also an important added value of the local ecosystem, says Diego De Biasio.

All in all, “Luxembourg’s startup ecosystem can challenge the first-in-class and actually be the top contender,” he concludes.
