MyScienceWork, the collaborative scientific platform, has just released its premium offer. MyScienceWork Premium offers, for the first time, a combination of paid access to scientific articles from participating scholarly publishers and access to new social features on the platform.
MyScienceWork has just taken an important step. Offering, since 2013, access to more than 31 million scientific articles for free, MyScienceWork is now integrating access to paid content from participating publishers, via Research Solutions (OTCQB:RSSS). MyScienceWork Premium is a paid offering that unlocks social features on the platform like analytics about the user’s profile and publication views and out-of-network messaging. Research Solutions is a key channel partner for publishers and a single-source provider for research-driven corporations who need efficient, copyright-compliant access to scientific content.
“We are pleased to release an offer that brings to our users much more accessible content and a new revenue stream for the growing number of publishers who are opting-in to make their content available to our members,” says Virginie Simon, MyScienceWork’s CEO. “The content enablement through MyScienceWork Premium is the expression of what we want to be: a reference for easy access to the world’s scientific content.”
Peter Derycz, CEO of Research Solutions, said: “MyScienceWork is addressing a new underserved market. Research Solutions is excited to work with MyScienceWork and participating publishing partners to make high value content available from within workflows that researchers prefer.”
The MyScienceWork Premium account targets individual researchers and small-to-medium businesses that do not have easy access to scientific publications through subscriptions and publisher packages. Virginie Simon states that, “There is no wide-range offer for these sectors to access content where significant research and development activities occur. We want to help these segments to overcome this challenge and in doing so, have the data they need in order to make new journal subscription decisions for the publications they use most.”
MyScienceWork is a collaborative scientific platform that aims to provide a clear and easy way for scientists to access scientific content and to collaborate. Through its centralized communication platform, MyScienceWork offers more than 31 million publications, expert profiles, job offers, events and scientific news. The project is based on one major principle: associate content and visibility with a single click.
MyScienceWork launched its site in 2013. With the aim of internationalizing its activities, MyScienceWork set up operations in Luxembourg and is opening a subsidiary in Silicon Valley while maintaining its branch in Paris. MyScienceWork consists of a team of 15 people. For more information, please visit www.mysciencework.com.
